Troubleshooting

There is a few possibilities that would explain why the Master Gardener sprayer isn’t powering up. Here are some causes and solutions.

• Battery isn’t fully charged. Charge the battery.
• Ensure power switch is in the “on” position.
• Check if all electric connections are tight.
• Inspect fuse located in back of sprayer.
• Check to make sure pump has power.

If your Master Manufacturing sprayer is having issues sucking up water from the tank, your inlet strainer could be covered in debris. Cleaning the debris off would allow your sprayer to regain the proper suction needed.

• Bad Electrical Connection – Verify connections are tight and battery posts are free of corrosion.
• Short in Wires – Check condition of wire insulation and replace if gaps or holes are present..
• Locked Drive – Replace the diaphragm assembly.
• Faulty Pressure Switch – Replace the pressure switch assembly.
• Incorrect Voltage – Check voltage and verify within range ±10%.
• Fuse Blown – Check and/or replace the fuse.

• Out of Product (Fluid) – Refill the supply container/sprayer tank.
• Inlet Air Leak – Tighten the hose fittings and/or replace cracked fittings.
• Inlet/Outlet Tube Restriction – Remove any restriction from the inlet or outlet tubes.
• Incorrect Voltage – Check voltage and verify within range ±10%.
• Clogged Intake Valves – Remove obstruction from valves.
• Clogged Intake Tube – Remove obstruction from tube.

• Worn Spray Gun Nozzle – Replace spray gun.
• Worn Boom Nozzle – Replace boom nozzle.
• Worn Wobble or Diaphragm Plate – Replace the diaphragm assembly.
• Worn Pressure Switch – Replace pressure switch assembly.
• Inlet/Outlet Tube Restriction – Remove restriction.
• Incorrect Voltage – Check voltage and verify within range ±10%.
• Clogged Intake Valves – Remove obstruction from the valves.
• Clogged Intake Tube – Remove obstruction from the tube.
• Inlet Air Leak – Tighten loose fittings, replace cracked fittings.

• Loose Fasteners – Tighten fasteners and hose clamps.
• Pump Seals Degraded – Replace the pump head assembly.
• Leak in Diaphragm – Replace the diaphragm assembly.

• Clogged Intake Tube – Remove obstruction from the tube.
• Clogged Suction Strainer – Clean suction strainer.
• Worn Spray Gun Nozzle – Replace spray gun.

There might be a time where the 12V Everflo diaphragm pump on your Master Manufacturing sprayer is cycling. Here is a troubleshooting video on the top issues and solutions to stop your pump from cycling.

• Leak In the System – Tighten leaking hose clamps, fittings or replace spray gun.
• Faulty Pressure Switch – Replace pressure switch.
• Incorrect Voltage – Check voltage and verify within range ±10%.
• Air Trapped in System – Purge the air from the system.

• Flexible Mounting Surface – Install your pump on a rigid mounting surface.
• Loose Pump Head – Tighten fasteners.
• Compressed Base Feet – Decompress base feet.
• Rigid Plumbing – Replace rigid plumbing with flexible hoses.

• Bad Electrical Connection – Check battery connections.
• Boom Shut-Off Valve – Flip “on” shut-off valve.

• Clogged Strainer – Unclog strainer.
• Pinched or Clogged Hose – Unpinch or unclog hose.
• Clogged Nozzles – Unclog nozzles.
• Damaged Spray Nozzles – Replace nozzles.
• No Nozzles In Boom – Install nozzles into boom.
• Incorrect Nozzle Size – Replace with correct nozzles.
• Nozzle Facing Wrong Direction – Adjust nozzle to correct designation.

• Loose Fasteners – Tighten fasteners.
• Loose Connection To Shut-Off Valve – Tighten boom to shut-off valve.
• Damaged Boom Hose – Replace hose or boom kit.

No Ball Check Strainers – Install ball check strainers.
